Three indicted in East Texas gas pump skimmer ring

Three individuals have been indicted on charges of engaging in organized criminal activity following an investigation into credit card skimming devices installed at gas stations. The suspects, identified as Jael Diaz-Morejon, Noel Pena-Rodriguez, and Adriana Castillo-Oliveros, are alleged to have worked together to place skimmers at multiple fuel pumps along the I-20 corridor in East Texas and the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Investigators traced the activity to a white box truck and a Ford F-350, both registered to Castillo-Oliveros. Law enforcement utilized license plate cameras to track the vehicles traveling between the DFW area and the Tyler area. Evidence suggests that in several instances, one vehicle scouted targeted pumps before the box truck arrived, at which point individuals allegedly obstructed security cameras to install the devices.
