Former Olympian David Hearn denies vandalism of Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool

David “Davey” Hearn, a 67‑year‑old former U.S. Olympic canoeist, was indicted on a felony count of destroying government property worth more than $1,000 after prosecutors said he ripped a section of the newly installed “American‑flag‑blue” liner from the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool on June 19, 2026.
