Three killed in fatal car and bus collision in Chomutov region

A fatal traffic accident on the Chomutov region near Pětipsy has claimed three lives. The collision occurred when a passenger car drove into oncoming traffic and struck a bus. While the bus was empty of passengers at the time, the driver sustained minor injuries.

All three occupants of the passenger vehicle—two women and one man—died at the scene. Among the deceased are two long-time members of the local football club SK Havran Kryry, Patrik Grzywacz and Gabriela. The couple was reportedly traveling home from a medical procedure in Kadaň.

Police spokesperson Miroslav Glogovská stated that the probable cause of the accident was the driver failing to adjust to the conditions of the road, which was wet due to rain. The local football community and fans of Slavia Prague have expressed deep mourning for the couple, who were active supporters and club members.
