Three killed in fatal crash on Italy's State Road 89 near Foggia

On the early morning of 26 June 2026, an Opel Corsa left the carriageway and rolled multiple times on State Road 89 between Foggia and Manfredonia, at kilometre‑point 178+300. All three occupants – two men aged about 27 and 30 and a woman of similar age – died at the scene.

Emergency services including the 118 medical team, local fire‑fighters and Carabinieri responded, extracting the bodies and securing the area. Traffic was reduced to a single lane, causing delays. Police investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the vehicle’s loss of control. No further vehicles were involved and the identities of the victims have not yet been released.
