Three killed in fatal two-vehicle collision in Kota Tinggi

A fatal collision involving two vehicles occurred at Kilometer 31.2 of the Kota Tinggi–Kluang road in Johor. The accident happened at approximately 6:20 PM on September 13, when a male-driven SUV veered into the oncoming lane and struck a compact car.

Three people died in the incident. The victims include a husband and wife, Mohd Herwan Alias, 38, and Nur Ezazaya Mohd Ali, 34, who were traveling in a Perodua Axia. The driver of the compact car, Mohd Herwan, died on the way to the hospital, while the front-seat passenger, Nur Ezazaya, died at the scene. A passenger in the SUV, 58-year-old Mohd Noor Selamat, also died at the scene.

The driver and front passenger of the SUV sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment at Kota Tinggi Hospital. Kota Tinggi District Police Chief, Superintendent Yusof Othman, stated that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
