Three Killed Including Infant in Car Crash into Baradero Arroyo, Argentina
A Fiat Siena carrying four occupants plunged into the Cañada Honda arroyo near Baradero, Argentina, at kilometer 124 of Route 9. The vehicle became submerged, resulting in the deaths of three family members – a man, a woman and their one‑year‑old baby – while a fourth occupant survived by escaping before the car was fully underwater and was taken to a local hospital.
Rescue crews including volunteer firefighters, police, emergency medical services and road authorities worked for several hours in cold, dark conditions to retrieve the vehicle and the bodies. Investigators are still assessing the cause of the crash, considering factors such as low visibility and road conditions, and have not ruled out any hypothesis.
The incident remains under police custody while families are notified.
