Three Jalisco Teens Rescued After Nine-Day Disappearance

Three adolescents—Justhin Enrique Torres Molina (15), Jordan Isaac García (14) and Christopher Sandoval (13)—went missing on 30 June after attending their graduation at Secundaria Técnica 113 in the Lomas del Paraíso neighborhood of Guadalajara, Jalisco. After a nine‑day search, they were located alive in the early hours of 9 July and returned to their families.

State prosecutors announced the detention of a man suspected of driving the vehicle that transported the teens. Surveillance footage helped identify the vehicle, and authorities are investigating a possible case of forced recruitment by a criminal group. The investigation remains open, with officials seeking to determine where the youths were held and whether additional perpetrators were involved.
