Three sisters die by drowning in UK after visiting mother's former lakeside

Three sisters have died by drowning in the United Kingdom under circumstances that remain a mystery. The victims, identified as 36-year-old Jane Adetoro, 32-year-old Christina Walters, and 31-year-old Rebecca Walters, were found dead on May 13.

The deaths occurred just 48 hours after the women visited a lake in Birmingham, the same location where their mother, Janice Adetoro, drowned 16 years ago in 2010. Their cousin, Natalie Walters-Daniel, suggested to the Sunday Times that the visit to the lake held a “deeper significance,” noting that the sisters never fully overcame the trauma of losing their mother during their formative years.

Janice Adetoro had struggled with mental health issues and anxiety prior to her disappearance in early 2010. Sussex Police have concluded their investigation into the deaths of the three sisters, stating they found no evidence of criminal activity.
