Three suspects charged in Italian crypto‑investment fraud

A 29‑year‑old merchant from Loro Piceno was persuaded via social‑media contacts to invest in cryptocurrencies, transferring a total of €3,350 in four bank payments to accounts linked to the perpetrators. The Carabinieri of Loro Piceno traced the transfers and identified three suspects: a 23‑year‑old woman from Parma, a 43‑year‑old woman from the province of Frosinone and a 54‑year‑old man from Brescia, the latter two already known to law‑enforcement. The three individuals have been reported to the prosecutor's office in Macerata for aggravated fraud in concert.
