Three teenagers arrested for cannabis use in Hiroshima

Three teenagers, including a 19-year-old member of the Japan Self-Defense Forces stationed at the Kaita City Garrison, have been arrested on suspicion of using cannabis.

According to police, the arrests followed a report of a disturbance at a residence in Aki Ward, Hiroshima City, in August. Upon arrival, officers found the individuals in a state of agitation, with one person reportedly striking their head against a wall until bleeding. Drug paraphernalia was also discovered at the scene.

Urine tests returned positive results, and the suspects have admitted to using cannabis between May and August of this year. The Japan Self-Defense Forces expressed regret over the incident and stated they will take appropriate action based on the findings of the investigation.
