Three tractors stolen from farm in Oftering, Austria

At least four unidentified individuals broke into a farm in the municipality of Oftering, located in the Linz-Land district of Upper Austria, during the early hours of Wednesday, November 5, 2026. The perpetrators operated between 00:45 and 01:45, stealing three tractors and several power tools.

According to police reports, the thieves demonstrated professional methods by removing the GPS tracking devices from the tractors and leaving them at the scene. After disabling the trackers, the suspects drove the machinery across a field to a cargo track, where a semi-trailer was waiting to load the stolen vehicles. The trail went cold once the tractors were loaded onto the trailer.

The Upper Austria State Criminal Police Office has taken over the investigation and is requesting information from the public.
