Three Turkish judokas to compete in World Championships

Three national judokas from the Ümraniye Belediyesi Spor Kulübü will represent Turkey at the Cadet World Judo Championships in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 20 to August 23, 2026.

The athletes competing in the 12-person national team are Sema Nur Yüksel (44 kg), Süleyman Doğru (50 kg), and Tahsin Efe Yılmaz (73 kg). The competitors are currently undergoing intensive physical and mental preparations to face top international opponents.

Ümraniye Mayor İsmet Yıldırım expressed pride in the athletes' inclusion in the national squad and offered his support for their efforts to represent the country on the world stage.
