Greece reports multiple violent crimes and major police operations

Greece has seen a series of violent crimes and police operations across several regions. In Agios Dimitrios, an 18-year-old football player was stabbed in the head and back during an attempted robbery by a 23-year-old. The victim was treated at Evangelismos Hospital and is currently out of danger.

In Thessaloniki, a 31-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing a 25-year-old woman in his apartment following a meeting arranged via a dating app. The suspect claims the woman attempted to steal his watch, while the woman is being held at Geninmata Hospital under police guard for suspected robbery.

Other significant police actions include the discovery of a stolen goods warehouse in Kypseli, Athens, where police seized jewelry, paintings, and weapons valued at over 120,000 euros. In Larissa, two men were arrested for a series of burglaries totaling 140,000 euros. Additionally, in Evros and Rodopi, authorities arrested three smugglers transporting illegal migrants. In Patra, a 91-year-old woman was defrauded of 8,000 euros and jewelry through a sophisticated phone scam involving perpetrators posing as police officers.
