Thriston Lawrence leads Omega European Masters after second round

South African golfer Thriston Lawrence has taken a two-shot lead at the Omega European Masters following a second-round 63 at the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club. Lawrence reached 13-under par after recording six consecutive birdies during the turn. A victory would mark his third title at this event, potentially making him only the second player to achieve three wins in Crans-Montana since the tournament joined the DP World Tour in 1972.

Nacho Elvira and Jeremy Paul follow at 11-under par, with Elvira carding a tournament-low 62. Earlier in the tournament, China's Ashun Wu held the initial lead after an opening-round 63, which placed him one stroke ahead of England's Todd Clements and several other competitors.
