Authorities report that Naugle allegedly attacked five of his coworkers with a knife. One victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the other four were treated at the scene. No guests were injured during the incident, and the casino remained open following the attack.

During a recent court appearance, prosecutors revealed that Naugle faced charges including premeditated attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and assault likely to produce great bodily injury. Placer County District Attorney Morgan Gire stated that the attack appeared to be a planned act. Naugle appeared in court wearing an anti-suicide vest and has been scheduled for further hearings.
