Thunderbird Show Park hosts inaugural Summer Sound Off concert

The inaugural Summer Sound Off concert was held at Langley’s Thunderbird Show Park, drawing a crowd of over 3,000 people. The event marked the first large-scale concert hosted at the facility since its recent change in ownership.

Dana Matheson and his wife, Laurel, recently acquired the equestrian show park from the Tidball family. Matheson expressed enthusiasm for the venue's potential as a concert space, stating that the Summer Sound Off will become an annual community event featuring various well-known artists. He noted ambitions to grow the attendance to 10,000 people in future years.

In addition to the annual concert series, the new owners plan to expand horse shows into the winter months and intend to bring back the ‘Christmas in the Country’ event in December 2027.
