ThunderDonk releases Campfire Coffee flavored whisky in New Zealand
ThunderDonk, New Zealand’s leading flavored whisky brand, launched a new Campfire Coffee expression. The whisky blends rich Colombian coffee beans, toasted coconut flakes and aged New Zealand single‑malt whisky, is bottled at 33% ABV and sold in 700 ml, 200 ml and 50 ml formats at a suggested retail price of $54.99. Marketing Director Mark Neal said, “It’s a combination few would expect, whisky and coffee, but that’s precisely the point. ThunderDonk is a bold, rebellious, flavored whisky, and it’s one that consumers have really embraced.”
The launch comes as the flavored‑whisky segment grows about 50 % faster than traditional whisky. Existing flavours Spiced Maple and Salted Caramel have moved more than 5,000 cases across New Zealand and Australia in the past year. ThunderDonk has won two major international whisky awards and recently secured a major distribution deal with Australian retailer Dan Murphy’s. The campaign features two characters—a Yeti and a Central Otago stockman—embodying the brand’s “good company, tall banter and late‑night campfire” ethos.
