Thunderstorms Expected in Bavaria with Heavy Rain, Hail and Strong Winds

The German Weather Service (Deutscher Wetterdienst) warned that thunderstorms will move across Bavaria from Saturday afternoon through Monday night. The forecast includes local wind gusts of 50 km/h, occasional gusts up to 70 km/h, intense rain up to 20 L per square metre and small‑grain hail, especially along the Alpine fringe and the southern Alpine foreland.

Temperatures are currently around 25 °C after a cooler weekend and are expected to rise to about 30 °C later in the week, with no new heat wave anticipated. The next week is expected to return to generally pleasant conditions.
