Police investigate multiple bicycle and e-bike thefts in Germany and Austria
Police in several German and Austrian regions are investigating multiple thefts involving bicycles and e-bikes.
In Mannheim, Germany, a 31-year-old man was arrested after attempting to steal a Bulls Racer Cross mountain bike. The suspect, who was already wanted on an outstanding warrant, was taken into custody.
In Nordhausen, Germany, thieves broke into a residential building's cellar, stealing two pedelecs valued at approximately 2,000 euros. Similarly, in Innsbruck, Austria, burglars broke into several cellar compartments in a multi-party house, making off with two high-end e-bikes causing damages in the upper four-digit euro range.
Authorities in Rheine and Neuenkirchen, Germany, have also recovered a Nukeproof mountain bike and a Bulls Green Mover Lacuba pedelec, and are currently seeking the rightful owners.
