Thuringian Minister Colette Boos-John Visits Bad Tabarz and TMP Fenster in Thuringia
Federal Agriculture Minister Alois Rainer and Thuringian Economy Minister Colette Boos-John toured the spa town of Bad Tabarz on 18 July, meeting local costume clubs and the mayor. Rainer presented his new “Heimat‑Agenda”, stressing the importance of regional traditions and promising to increase dialogue with rural communities. Boos‑John highlighted the need to support village makers and reduce administrative burdens for local initiatives.
A few days later Boos‑John visited TMP Fenster + Türen in Bad Langensalza, a leading German window manufacturer. The minister discussed the operating conditions for medium‑sized firms, emphasizing the planned Thuringian relief law and the benefits of cutting red tape. TMP’s managing director Tobias Kern pointed to the company’s use of CO₂‑reduced glass and digital technologies, while Boos‑John praised the firm’s innovative approach as a model for affordable, sustainable building.
Both visits underscored the state’s focus on preserving cultural heritage while fostering modern, competitive industry in Thuringia.
