Thuringian Police Cite Driver for Nazi Tattoos and Crack Down on Modified E‑Bikes

Police officers from the Thuringian State Police in the Sömmerda district stopped a 56‑year‑old driver during a traffic check in Gebesee and identified visible Nazi swastika tattoos, which are prohibited constitutional symbols. The driver received a citation for using symbols of an unconstitutional organization and was ordered to cover the tattoos when in public.

In a separate operation, police from the Weimar district conducted intensified e‑bike checks over the weekend. Officers discovered several e‑bikes that had been illegally altered to exceed speed limits, and some of these bikes were reported as stolen. Multiple traffic offenses were recorded, and the confiscated bicycles were later returned to their legitimate owners.
