THW Kiel edges Rhein-Neckar Löwen 37-36 in dramatic handball victory
THW Kiel secured a narrow 37-36 victory against Rhein-Neckar Löwen in a high-tempo handball match at the Merkur Ostseehalle. The game was decided in the final seconds when Eric Johansson converted a penalty shot following a foul on Julian Köster, breaking a 36-36 tie.
Separately, THW Kiel goalkeeper Andreas Wolff is reportedly facing a fine of approximately 2,500 euros from the Handball-Bundesliga (HBL). The disciplinary action stems from Wolff's public criticism of referees following a match against SG Flensburg-Handewitt in late September, where he questioned their quality and attitude.
