THWS and Schaeffler to host TecGirls’Day 2026

The TecGirls’Day 2026 is scheduled for November 3 in Schweinfurt, Germany. Organized by the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS), Schaeffler Technologies, and various regional authorities, the event aims to address the low representation of women in STEM fields.

In the Schweinfurt engineering sector, women currently account for only 20 percent of the workforce, with participation in mechatronics and mechanical engineering degrees dropping to 12 percent. The initiative offers workshops for female students in grades 8 through 12, covering topics such as virtual reality, intelligent robotics, and Bluetooth technology to provide insight into technical careers and studies.
