Thypoch completes Simera-C cine lens series with 100mm T1.9

Thypoch has completed its Simera-C line of portable cine lenses for full-frame cameras with the introduction of the Simera-C 100mm T1.9. This telephoto prime lens expands the series to a total of seven focal lengths: 16mm, 21mm, 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm.

The 100mm lens features an optical design of 11 elements in 8 groups and a 16-blade aperture designed to provide smooth background bokeh. It is built for professional film production, offering minimal focus breathing, low distortion, and 8K resolution support. The lens includes 0.8-MOD geared rings for focus and aperture control, with a focus rotation angle of 210 degrees.

Available in both Sony E-mount and Leica M-mount, the Sony E-mount version weighs 477 grams and measures 86.4 mm in length, while the Leica M-mount version is slightly more compact at 451 grams and 76.6 mm. Delivery is expected to begin in late October 2026.
