Thyssenkrupp reports HKM sale to Salzgitter and Amundi stake shift ahead of tk accelis spin‑off

Thyssenkrupp has completed the sale of its HKM division to Salzgitter AG, concluding the transaction as the company continues its restructuring. The share price rose to €12.24, up 2.5% on the day, marking a 31.9% gain since the start of the year.

French asset manager Amundi now holds slightly more than 5% of Thyssenkrupp’s voting rights after a minor adjustment, remaining above the regulatory 5% disclosure threshold.

Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) withdrew its unsolicited offer to acquire German Naval Yards Kiel, pausing the planned consolidation of the German naval shipbuilding sector.

An extraordinary shareholders’ meeting is scheduled for 7 August, during which investors will vote on the spin‑off and planned IPO of the materials‑services unit tk accelis, targeted for an end‑2026 listing with Thyssenkrupp retaining a 51% majority stake.
