Tiago Miguel Vieira appointed Port Captain and Maritime Police commander in Lagos

Tiago Miguel Vieira has officially assumed the role of Port Captain and local commander of the Maritime Police in Lagos, succeeding Hugo Bravo da Guia. The inauguration ceremony took place at the Cabo de São Vicente Lighthouse in Sagres, attended by Vice-Admiral Diogo Arroteia, Director-General of the Maritime Authority and Commander-General of the Maritime Police.

During the transition, the Municipality of Lagos and the National Maritime Authority signed a Memorandum of Intent regarding the provision of a vehicle to the Lagos local command. This initiative aims to enhance the mobility and operational capacity of maritime police officers in their duties involving policing, inspection, surveillance, and investigation within the jurisdiction.
