Tianjin Medical University honors medical body donors

During Teacher's Day celebrations at Tianjin Medical University, a special tribute was held for “silent teachers”—the donors who provide cadavers for medical anatomical study.

The event highlighted the story of Zhang Yuanyue, a retired teacher from Tianjin Business Vocational College, whose father, Zhang Weilun, was a veteran who donated his body to medical science upon his passing. Following his father's example, Zhang Yuanyue and his wife have also signed voluntary body donation agreements to support medical education.

Tianjin Medical University maintains a memorial wall honoring over 1,200 donors. The institution emphasizes life education, teaching students to respect the profound responsibility of using these anatomical specimens to learn the art and science of medicine.
