Tibanica Bridge project awarded to connect Bogotá and Soacha
The construction contract for the Tibanica Bridge has been awarded to the Consorcio Corredor Vial ICCU. This infrastructure project aims to improve mobility between Bogotá and Soacha by providing an alternative to the heavily congested Autopista Sur.
The 87-meter-long bridge will connect the Bosa sector in Bogotá with Ciudad Verde in Soacha, specifically between Avenida Ciudad de Cali and Avenida Terreros. The project involves an investment of approximately $60,000 million and is expected to be completed within 18 months.
Funding is being coordinated through the Bogotá-Cundinamarca Metropolitan Region via the Regional Mobility Agency, in collaboration with local and departmental authorities. The initiative is part of broader efforts to transform regional mobility and reduce traffic dependency on major arterial roads.
