Tibetan Community in Japan installs new executive board
The Tibetan Community in Japan (TCJ) has formally transitioned to a new board following a handover ceremony at the Tibet House office. The event was presided over by Lobsang Choedak, the Representative of the Office of Tibet for Japan and East Asia.
Outgoing president Dorjee Shiota introduced the incoming board members, which includes Lobsang Yeshi, Tenzin Minkyi, Lhamo Chodon, and Tenzin Tsungmay. During the transition, Shiota presented a report on the activities, financial accounts, and assets managed by the outgoing committee during its two-year term.
Representative Lobsang Choedak commended the previous board for its work in promoting Tibet-related activities. He emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between the TCJ and Tibet support groups to protect Tibetan linguistic, cultural, and religious identity against assimilation efforts.
