Tibetan Cooperative Conference marks 25th anniversary in Dharamshala

The 25th Annual Tibetan Cooperative Conference opened on August 27, 2026, at Sikyong Hall, hosted by the Central Tibetan Administration in Dharamshala. The event included representatives from 15 Tibetan cooperative societies across India.

During the inaugural ceremony, Speaker Dolma Tsering Teykhang and Department of Home Kalon Palden Dhondup delivered addresses. Teykhang emphasized the importance of solidarity and unity, noting that the cooperative movement was established during a challenging period for Tibetan refugees as a testament to their resilience.

Additionally, Chief Justice Commissioner Yeshi Wangmo officially launched a new website for the Federation of Tibetan Cooperatives in India (FTCI). The conference also featured a message from His Holiness the Dalai Lama, read by FTCI President Pema Delek.
