Tibor Kapu discusses personal life and space travel experiences

Hungarian astronaut Tibor Kapu recently shared insights into his personal life and professional journey following his Axiom-4 mission to the International Space Station, which launched on June 25, 2025. In an interview on the program ‘Útközben elmeséled’ with András Sváby, Kapu reflected on the imbalance between his career and private life.

Kapu stated that he has not reached the personal milestones he desired because he failed to dedicate sufficient time to his private life. He expressed a desire for romantic relationships but noted a tendency to seek perfection in both himself and potential partners.

Additionally, the astronaut discussed his struggles with self-confidence and excessive self-criticism, noting that his space travel experience was instrumental in helping him overcome these issues. He also mentioned recovering from a recent illness, which he attributed to overwork, and emphasized the importance of prioritizing rest and health moving forward.
