Ticino showcases Swiss culture at Europa-Park for National Day

From July 31 to August 2, the Swiss canton of Ticino celebrated its National Day at Europa-Park in Rust, Germany. Ticino Turismo and Ascona‑Locarno Turismo set up a stand in the new Silver Lake City camping area, offering visitors music, folk performances by Fredy & Fredi and a clown act, as well as interactive games and prizes. The display highlighted the Italian‑speaking region’s traditions, cuisine and scenery, with a photo‑op XXL lounge chair featuring panoramic views of the Ticino lakes and valleys.

The event formed part of a three‑year partnership between Europa‑Park, Ticino Turismo, Ascona‑Locarno Turismo and Switzerland Tourism, aiming to raise awareness of Ticino’s cultural heritage among the park’s international audience.
