Tiendas 3B reports 38.7% sales growth and expands store count

Tiendas 3B, a Mexican hard discount retailer, reported a 38.7% increase in net sales to 26,037 million pesos for the second quarter of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025. Comparable sales also rose by 20%. Despite this revenue growth, the company’s net losses expanded from 286 million pesos in Q2 2025 to 386 million pesos in Q2 2026.

During the April-June period, the retailer opened 155 new stores, bringing its total to 3,624 units. The company also added a new distribution center, expanding its logistics network to 21 locations. Director K. Anthony Hatoum attributed the growth to the company’s value proposition and customer loyalty, even amidst a cautious consumer environment in Mexico.

In comparison to its competitor Tiendas Neto, Tiendas 3B maintains a significantly larger footprint. While Tiendas Neto operates over 1,700 branches across more Mexican states, Tiendas 3B operates approximately double that amount, having reached over 3,400 stores by the end of the first quarter of 2026.
