Étienne Papineau wins Digital Commerce Group Open on 30th birthday
Étienne Papineau secured his second Digital Commerce Group Open title at Uplands Golf Club, winning the PGA Tour Americas event on his 30th birthday. The Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec native finished at 25-under par, four strokes ahead of runner-up Charlie Nikitas.
Papineau entered the final round three strokes behind leader Kyle Cottam, who had set a course record in the previous round. Papineau responded with a final-round 61, including five consecutive birdies following an early bogey. This victory makes him one of only two players to win this specific tournament twice, joining Rick Todd.
The win earns Papineau $40,500 and moves him into second place on the PGA Tour Americas season-long points list. His performance continues a trend of Canadian success at the event, with Canadian players winning three of the last four editions.
