Tierpark Bad Liebenstein to open new forest experience center

Tierpark Bad Liebenstein is set to open its new ‘Waldhaus’ on September 6, 2026. Designed as a nature-based experience space for children, the facility aims to combine play, discovery, and learning through direct interaction with the Thuringian forest and its wildlife.

The project was developed using natural materials from the Thuringian forest and was made possible through volunteer engagement and support from regional companies. The space includes a small forest cinema featuring nature-themed content. The opening event will feature a bird of prey show and activities organized in cooperation with Thuringia Forst.
