Tierpark Gotha celebrates 100 years with anniversary festival
Tierpark Gotha is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a festival on September 5 and 6. The event, running from 9:00 to 16:00, features animal feedings, interactive activities, and culinary offerings. Highlights include commented feedings by keepers to provide insights into animals such as camels, dingos, lynxes, and wolves, as well as an insect show featuring various species like walking leaves and stick insects.
In Fischbach, located in the town of Waltershausen, local residents and club members conducted a community work day to maintain the Bergbühne Fischbach open-air stage. Organized by the Fischbach Heritage and Tradition Association, the stage preservation association, and the local district council, the effort involved weeding and cleaning the stands to ensure the continued upkeep and development of the venue.
