Chile police investigate multiple violent incidents across several regions

Authorities in Chile are investigating several violent incidents across different regions. In Pitrufquén, La Araucanía, a 91-year-old woman was found dead in her home with visible facial injuries. Investigators are treating the case as a potential robbery, noting signs that belongings and furniture had been disturbed.

In Tierra Amarilla, a 26-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot in the chest. Police recovered a 9mm shell casing at the scene. The victim, who had an active warrant for a previous threat charge, was transported to the Copiapó Regional Hospital.

Additionally, in Tomé, Biobío, the PDI arrested a 53-year-old man following a fight that left two women injured with sharp weapons. One victim required hospitalization for serious wounds to the neck and shoulder.
