Tierra del Fuego launches program for 175 local entrepreneurs

The Tierra del Fuego provincial government has launched the “Crecer con Identidad: Innovación y raíces para el desarrollo local” program to strengthen local production through cultural identity. Out of 256 applicants, 175 entrepreneurs and producers have been selected to participate in the provincial stage of the initiative.

The participants are distributed across the province's three cities: 92 from Ushuaia, 58 from Río Grande, and 25 from Tolhuin. The program focuses on sectors such as agroecology, regional gastronomy, textiles, tourism services, and crafts made with local materials.

Managed by the Ministry of Production and Environment in coordination with the DIBAGO team, the program offers training in areas including formalization, marketing, packaging, and access to financing. The goal is to help local businesses differentiate their products in competitive markets by incorporating the unique identity of the region. The provincial stage will continue through November, after which selected projects will represent Tierra del Fuego in the Patagonia regional stage.
