Tierra del Fuego launches training programs for rural workers and firefighters

Various training initiatives are underway in Tierra del Fuego to enhance safety and professional skills in the region.

RENATRE, in collaboration with UATRE and local public agencies, is conducting safety and emergency training for rural workers. A recent session at the “Buenos Aires” establishment focused on fire extinguisher use, first aid, and CPR. Additionally, a new course for wire-stretchers (Alambrador) is beginning in Río Grande to promote traditional rural trades and expand employment opportunities.

Simultaneously, the Firefighters Academy of the Tierra del Fuego Volunteer Firefighters Federation has launched a seminar series titled “Preservation of a Fire Scene.” This program aims to professionalize personnel and unify technical procedures across the province's fire stations, starting with training at the Zona Norte Volunteer Firefighters Station.
