Tierra del Fuego hosts science, Antarctic, and technology events

Tierra del Fuego is hosting several educational and scientific events. The Ministry of Education is conducting the final provincial stage of the Art, Science, and Technology Fair in Río Grande. Following a successful session in Ushuaia with over 40 projects, the competition will evaluate works from Tolhuin, Ushuaia, and Río Grande to select representatives for national levels. Projects focus on themes such as nutrition, the environment, wind energy, and regional history.

In Buenos Aires, the Casa de Tierra del Fuego is commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Argentine Antarctic Institute (IAA). The Antarctic Days program includes scientific and artistic exhibitions, researcher talks, and educational panels covering topics like geopolitics, the Antarctic Treaty, and biology. The event concludes on September 4 with a gala concert.

Additionally, the provincial government has announced COPAT 3D, the Patagonian Congress of 3D Printing and Digital Fabrication. Scheduled for October 2-3, 2026, in Ushuaia, the congress aims to integrate additive manufacturing technologies into regional industry, health, and construction sectors through conferences and a student competition.
