Tierra del Fuego OSEF opens bids for mental health and disability medicines

The Obra Social del Estado Fueguino (OSEF) announced the opening of envelopes for a public tender to supply medications for mental health, home hospitalization and disability plans. The Open Framework Agreement received five offers and will allow OSEF to purchase and distribute the drugs directly through its own pharmacies in Río Grande, Tolhuin and Ushuaia, replacing the previous system that required affiliates to obtain medicines from commercial pharmacies.

OSEF president Gustavo García, vice‑president Jorge Giménez and provincial governor Gustavo Melella emphasized that the change aims to guarantee continuous availability and avoid stock‑outs. After the envelope opening, the pre‑adjudication committee will assess the proposals and establish a merit order that automatically selects the next qualified supplier if the first cannot deliver.
