Tierra del Fuego presents Plataforma Malvina digital ecosystem

Elida Rechi, the Secretary of Science and Technology for Tierra del Fuego, presented the Plataforma Malvina at the Government Networks and Smart Cities meeting in San Luis. The platform is a digital and pedagogical ecosystem designed to promote critical digital literacy and the ethical use of artificial intelligence.

Designed as an open-access interactive tool, Plataforma Malvina provides educational content, historical archives, and audiovisual materials regarding the Malvinas, Antarctica, and the South Atlantic. Rechi noted that the platform aims to counter the biases often found in global commercial AI models by ensuring conceptual rigor and a sovereign perspective. This is achieved through an editorial committee composed of specialists, educational technologists, and representatives from veteran centers, alongside contributions from various national universities.
