Tierra del Fuego provides gender violence training for educators
The Subsecretaría de Género y Diversidad Zona Norte y Centro has conducted training sessions for teachers and management teams at the Escuela Austral de Enseñanza Bilingüe (EADEB) and Jardín Rosarito Vega in Tierra del Fuego.
The training, initiated following invitations from the institutions' interdisciplinary cabinets, focuses on strengthening tools to intervene in situations involving gender-based violence. The program emphasizes responsible and coordinated interventions incorporating perspectives on gender, childhood, and human rights. Key topics include active listening, protection, the prevention of re-victimization, and coordination with relevant agencies.
Verónica Marseglia, the Subsecretaria de Género y Diversidad Zona Norte y Centro, stated that educational communities require clear criteria to act in these situations, prioritizing protection and care from a rights-based perspective. The activity was carried out under the framework of Provincial Law No. 1022.
