Tierra del Fuego selects eight growers to professionalize medicinal cannabis

Tierra del Fuego is advancing a process to professionalize medicinal cannabis production by selecting eight growers to serve as pilot cases. The initiative aims to establish a provincial protocol of good practices, ensuring product quality and traceability.

Agustina Felici, Director of Technical Assistance at the Secretariat of Productive Development and SMEs, stated that the project seeks to standardize practices across all stages of cultivation and processing. The goal is to move away from unregulated home production toward products with clear labeling and verified compositions through plant material analysis. This program is being carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Health and is specifically directed at those currently producing for third-party patients.
