Ferreycorp and Tierra del Fuego highlight sustainability and tourism initiatives

Ferreycorp is set to present its ESG agenda and sustainability initiatives at the Cumbre Perú Sostenible from September 24 to 26. The corporation will highlight its contributions to social and environmental development, including its 'Obras por Impuestos' program, which has invested over S/310 million in infrastructure projects such as schools, hospitals, and sanitation works, benefiting more than 260,000 Peruvians.

In Argentina, the tourism sector is preparing for the Feria Internacional de Turismo (FIT) 2026 in Buenos Aires. Tierra del Fuego will participate with approximately 50 local providers and the Instituto Fueguino de Turismo to promote its destinations. The province will host business rounds with over 140 operators and provide information on air connectivity through representatives from Aerolíneas Argentinas, JetSMART, and GOL.

Additionally, the Instituto Fueguino de Turismo is advancing the update of its Sustainable Tourism Strategic Plan. This process involves technical teams and local stakeholders in Río Grande, Tolhuin, and Ushuaia to establish a long-term roadmap for the province, with a specific focus on the development and management of the Tierra Mayor Natural and Scenic Reserve.
