Tieto and Siirto partner to embed e-invoicing in Finnish banking apps

Tieto and Siirto have announced a partnership to integrate e-invoicing directly into Finnish banking applications. The collaboration aims to streamline digital payments by allowing businesses to retrieve customer e-invoice addresses and send invoices straight to a user's online banking service.

The integration utilizes Siirto’s newly launched centralized registry alongside Tieto’s Multichannel B2C e-invoicing solution. This approach is designed to reduce consumer friction by eliminating the need for separate payment applications or additional downloads, moving the workflow into existing banking environments.

Siirto, an instant payment method with over 1 million registered users in Finland, developed its account-to-account model with owner banks OP and Nordea. The partnership is intended to advance the digitalization of the Finnish invoicing ecosystem and reduce reliance on paper-based methods.
