Taichung communities hold Qixi Festival celebrations and elderly care events

Various community events and celebrations took place in Taichung, Taiwan, coinciding with the Qixi Festival.

Tiezhanshan Xiling Temple celebrated its 36th anniversary with a series of rituals, including adulthood ceremonies and traditional dances. The temple, which enshrines the Seven Fairies (Qi Niang Ma), attracted many young couples and devotees seeking blessings for love and health. The festivities included traditional performances and communal meals.

In Xitun District, the Huashan Foundation's Xitun 1 Angel Station held a “One-Day Valentine” event to support elderly residents living alone. Partnering with Chuanjing Biomedical, volunteers provided companionship, flowers, and music to the seniors. The event also included physical exercises and a seminar by local police to educate the elderly on preventing telecommunications fraud.
