TIFF Primetime Section Announces Horror‑Heavy TV Lineup

The Toronto International Film Festival’s Primetime program will showcase ten TV series from the United States, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Brazil and the United Kingdom. The lineup opens with Jesse McKeown’s Netflix miniseries “Below,” starring Josh Hartnett as a Newfoundland fisherman confronting a sea creature, and closes with Mike Flanagan’s adaptation of Stephen King’s “Carrie,” featuring Summer H. Howell in the titular role.

Other titles include “Crystal Lake,” a new “Friday the 13th” continuation starring Linda Cardellini, the supernatural mystery “YAGA,” the hostage‑drama “American Hostant,” the pioneering filmmaker drama “Alice,” and the sixth season of the spy thriller “Slow Horses.” Eight of the series will world‑premiere at the festival, which runs from Sept. 10‑20, 2026.
