Tiffany Haddish pleads guilty to Georgia misdemeanor DUI charge

Comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor alcohol-related driving charge in Fayette County, Georgia, resolving a legal matter dating back to 2022.

Haddish entered the plea via video on August 11, 2026. As part of the agreement, she was sentenced to 12 months of probation and ordered to complete a substance abuse evaluation and abstain from drugs and alcohol. Other charges against her were dismissed, and she received credit for time previously spent in jail following her arrest.

The case stems from a January 14, 2022, incident in Peachtree City, where a 911 caller reported a driver appearing to be asleep at a traffic light in a white Ford Explorer. Haddish’s legal team had previously sought to have the charges dismissed, citing a violation of her right to a speedy trial and the professional difficulties caused by the four-year delay. However, Fayette County State Court Judge Jason Thompson denied the dismissal request, noting that delays were partly due to requests to accommodate her schedule.
