Tiffany Haddish pleads guilty to Georgia DUI charge
Comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor DUI driving less safe charge in Fayette County, Georgia, resolving a legal matter that began with her arrest in January 2022. The plea was entered via video conference on Tuesday, avoiding a trial that was scheduled to begin.
The incident occurred in Peachtree City when police responded to reports of a driver appearing to be asleep at a traffic light. Under the terms of the plea deal, all other pending charges against Haddish were dismissed. She was sentenced to 12 months of probation, during which she must abstain from drugs and alcohol, complete a substance abuse evaluation, and attend a DUI course. Additionally, her Georgia driver’s license has been suspended.
The court credited Haddish for the brief time she spent in custody following her initial arrest, meaning she will not face additional jail time. This resolution follows a previous legal matter in Beverly Hills, California, where Haddish reached a plea agreement in early 2024 regarding a separate November 2023 arrest.
